                                                                        My Hope Is Built                                                        verses 1 & 3

My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.

I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

Refrain

On Christ the sold rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand;

All other ground is sinking sand.

His oath, his covenant, his blood support me in the whelming flood.

When all around my soul gives way, he then is all my hope and stay.

Refrain

Let Us Be Bread

Refrain

Let us be bread, blessed by the Lord, broken and shared, life for the world.

Let us be wine, love freely poured. Let us be one in the Lord

I am the bread of life, broken for all.

Eat now and hunger no more.

You are my friends if you keep my commands,

No longer servants but friends.

Refrain

See how my people have nothing to eat.

Give them the bread that is you.

As God has loved me so I have loved you.

Go and live on in my love.

The Apostles’ Creed, Traditional Version

I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord:

Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary,

Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried;

The third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven,

And sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty:

From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church,

The communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,

The resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.  Amen.

*   Gloria Patri............................................................................................................... UMH #70

Glory Be to the Father

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,

World without end.  Amen.  Amen.
