WHAT ARE SMALL GROUPS UP TO????

Our small groups & short studies are going strong at Mountain View!  Many are just starting new or different studies so if you see something you like, we invite you to join in.  You can also check out the bulletin board in the Narthex for updated information as well as the website www.MountainViewUMC.org.  If you know of a group that is meeting but is not included below please send in the info and I will add it - smgroupcoordinator@mountainviewumc.com!  We welcome new ideas!!

10 Great Dates
This group will meet on a Friday of each month for 10 months (please note:  2nd Friday did not work out each month so look for details each month!).
Join us Friday, March 5th at
6:30 in the Fellowship Hall to begin our sessions with a short video, discussion and then a date with your spouse to top off the evening! Choose any one of the area's fine restaurants, go bowling or take a moonlit walk. Re-energize your marriage with "God as our glue"!
Questions?? e-mail
Ellen Bohn at ebbohn@verizon.net or call the church office. Books are $15.

Sunday Night Small Group (Previously known as Fun, Food, and Fellowship!)

Meet on the nights that PEAKS meets/in the Parlor/5:30-6:30/Facilitator-Barbara Crowder

We are somewhat of a revolving door small group because a lot of our members help with PEAKS and youth group, but our lessons are one-time lessons, so you can join whenever you're able! And we'd love for you to join us!

SALT (Senior Adult Learning Together)
Meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month/In the Fellowship Hall (unless previously planned elsewhere)/11:30am
Facilitator-
Gayle Saunders
Bring a sandwich lunch, drinks and desserts are provided
Devotions and activities as the group suggests.

Tuesday Night Small Group
Meet on Tuesdays/In the church parlor/7:00pm/Facilitators-Liz Jarvis
Studying:  During Lent we will be meeting weekly as we prepare our minds, hearts, and spirits to know Christ better and participate more fully in the Holy season that proceeds Easter Sunday.   We’ll be using the Society of St. Andrew’s devotional booklet “Jesus is…” to guide our individual study and group discussions.  The booklets are free, and are available in the church office.  Come join us as we strive to know Jesus better and share our faith with others.

Purdys' Pals
2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month/Meeting in the Church conference room/5:30pm/Facilitator-Bill Purdy
Bring a brown bag dinner.
Now is the time to join us!  Our goals for March are to decide on new study material and/or projects (possibly revert to social/dinner meetings), look for new name (no name #2?), and even consider a new day and time.  We are looking for additional members who are looking for a small group - we welcome you to take part in the decision process!!

Not So Small Group (formerly the Wednesday night small group)
Meet on Wednesday/In the church parlor/after Lenten Service/Facilitator - Kathy Janky
The March meeting date is yet to be determined. Please check the bulletin and/or website for updates.  We will be doing the third session of the study that uses the "Lucy" show as its basis for discussion and Bible study. This group has been meeting since the fall; the "Lucy" study is their second study.
